Origins Birth Center

My love for midwifery began in the summer of 2004, when I gave birth to

my third child at a birth center using a midwife. Having been physically
and emotionally wounded after two previous hospital births; I found what
my spirit had longed for through the wonderful care I received during my
delivery at the birth center.

In 2006 I became a Certified Birth Doula and began to serve women in that
capacity. Knowing that my heart's desire was to be a midwife one day I
patiently waited for God to open the door for me. In 2008 I began working
as a midwifery assistant. In 2009 I developed and managed the postpartum
care team at Gentle Beginnings Birthing Center. I worked there as the
Postpartum Team Coordinator and Breastfeeding Specialist until February
2011 when I enrolled in a midwifery program that I knew would be the
beginning of my longtime dream to help women experience the wonders of
what it feels like to be lovingly cared for through their pregnancy, birth, and
postpartum period. I have now fulfilled my dream of becoming a Licensed
Certified Professional Midwife. I opened Origins Birth and Wellness Collective
in Keller, TX with Kaitlyn Wages, CPM, LM. We see our clients out of our
beautiful birth center and do many home births and birth center births as well.

Having given birth to my first two in the hospital setting, my middle two
were birth center water births, and last baby was an amazing home birth, I
truly feel that I have an unique connection with women by being able to
relate to them on a personal level. I have attended 500 births with many of
them being repeat clients which has given me first hand experience caring
for laboring and birthing women on a safe and personal level. I am thrilled
to be able to continue to share the wonders of midwifery with my clients and
bring the joys of a new addition into their family.
