It is a pleasure to introduce myself and to share my passion for woman centered maternity care with you. Every woman deserves the opportunity to receive personalized, experienced, holistic care during her pregnancy, labor, and birth. This is what I strive to provide to the women I care for. My name is Lincey Knox and I am a homebirth midwife serving families in the DFW area. I offer comprehensive, experienced prenatal care for women through their entire pregnancy and care during the labor and birthing process.
My midwifery journey began in 2004 when I had the joyous occasion to witness my first birth. It was a beautiful homebirth with a midwife!!
A few years later in 2010 I graduated from Asbury University with my bachelors in Biology/Pre-med.
After college I attended the National College of Midwifery in conjunction with Newlife International School of Midwifery based in Davao City, Philippines. I lived, studied, and “caught” babies in Davao City for two years, from 2010-2012.
In 2012 I graduated with my Associates degree in Midwifery and passed the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) national certification exam, awarding me the credentials of Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).
In 2013 I fulfilled the requirements set forth by the state of Texas and became a Licensed Midwife.
I maintain both my CPR and certification in Neonatal Resuscitation.
I have delivered 110 babies since starting my education in 2012 and have assisted, in some capacity, around 400 births.
I have been practicing midwifery post-education for 2+ years and delivered my first baby 4+ years ago.
I have experience working in a homebirth setting, in a birth center, and in a high volume clinic.
Adding to my experience, I have had the opportunity to work with and learn alongside several midwives with a variety of midwifery styles. I always strive to grow and learn as a midwife by participating in local and national midwifery conferences and by staying up to date on new research related to midwifery and women’s health. I am also an active member of the North Texas Midwives’ Association and the Tarrant County Birth Network.
