Joyce is a Certified Nurse Midwife with a Masters degree in nursing. She has extensive experience and training in maternal / child health. Joyce has been a registered nurse since 1984 and midwife since 2000. She has attended home, birthing center and hospital births. She is an advocate of family centered care for healthy women. She integrates your dreams and desires for an ideal birth with safe evidenced-based care and her experience.

Individual care is given throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum for each woman and family. Her positive outlook and encouraging nature help to empower the woman to experience the miracle of birth.

Married for 34 plus years, she has experienced both hospital births and homebirth with her four children.

“My first two births were by Cesarean section; my third was a VBAC at a large teaching hospital in Cleveland Ohio. My last child was born at home, at the family farm, in the same room that my mother and aunt were born in. It was an amazing experience, one that I would hope for everyone.”
