My name is Kathaleen May. My husband, Paul, and I are the proud parents of 9 children (5 girls, 4 boys, ages 20-40) and at this time grandparents of 11 (and more coming!) grandchildren. I have had many experiences myself with birthing from emergency C-sections to a wonderful homebirth.

24 years ago I knew that I had a calling in the midwifery world. Having long been an advocate for women being educated about birth and their options and being allowed to be in control of their births as much as possible, I became a doula. After seeing many hospital births (where medical personnel usually have NO idea what to do at a natural, drug-free birth) I knew my heart was with midwifery and homebirth, where women are empowered and responsible and allow their bodies to do what they were made to do in birth.  I have now been a licensed midwife for over 7 years.
