I am both a LM (Licensed Midwife) and a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife). I practice within the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex and will travel as far north as Oklahoma.

My journey into midwifery began much like yours. When I became pregnant with my first child my desire was to give birth within the safety and comfort of my own home. I had a deep-seated conviction that birthing without drugs, unnecessary interventions or interference was altruistically best. I selected a midwife who lovingly walked with me through my pregnancy, became my dear friend and who rejoiced with me at the birth of my daughter.

I’ve always known that I was called to serve women. It became my greatest desire to empower others just as I had been empowered. It has been my joy and privilege to have cared for more than 600 women and their precious babies since becoming a midwife.

I primarily serve women who desire a home birth although I do have birth center privileges. I purposely keep my practice small, accepting only 2 – 3 births each month. It is my belief that in so doing I have the ability to fully connect with, enjoy, and foster a relationship with each of my clients.

I live in Corinth and office in Addison. I will do prenatal and postpartum care from either my home or my office and will, for an additional fee, be happy to do home visits. I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of pregnancy, labor and birth and the postpartum period. A typical appointment is 45 – 60 minutes in length and covers diet, exercise, and childbirth education in addition to monitoring you and your baby’s well being.

Giving birth is hard work! Your desire for a natural birth is inherently the best gift you could give your baby. I trust birth. I believe that a woman, when allowed to follow her own labor pattern, will instinctively know just how and when to give birth. I look forward to hearing from you.
