After 29 years of experience as Heart’s Desire Midwifery Care, I have mostly retired.

  I closed my birthing center and no longer have clients of my own to care for. 

Even so I remain committed to the support of our midwifery community and remain interested in the politics surrounding our profession. 

I also provide rarely needed backup coverage for another midwife and am a resource for area midwives periodically wanting to get the opinion of an older, seasoned midwife.

I remember the days when there were maybe 20 out of hospital midwives in the whole D/FW area.  Now there are SO MANY and women have a great selection to choose from.
