Every new mom has lots of questions! I love explaining the different options and concepts intrinsic to maternity care, thereby giving you the opportunity to make a truly informed decision. Understanding that every woman’s needs are as individual as the baby she carries, I endeavor to offer an experience blending both competent care and personal courtesy. I especially delight in serving women expecting their first baby or planning their first out-of-hospital birth! Watching the hand of God in my client’s lives as they walk through this new and amazing journey is a tremendous blessing to me.

Raised in Southwest Missouri, I began my journey to midwifery in 1999. During my early studies, I had the privilege of working with an OB/GYN while also studying homebirth midwifery, giving a greater depth to my education and understanding of maternity care. I moved to Texas in 2004 to complete my studies and became licensed in 2006. I have now enjoyed witnessing 500 precious lives enter the world.

In addition to practicing midwifery, I also endeavor to support the education of new midwives! I take an active role in teaching midwifery students both in the theory as well as the practice of midwifery. When I’m not involved in midwifery, I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, spending time with my family! After a decade of midwifery service, I now serve only a limited clientele as I care for my family and take my own maternity leave!
